Our History

In 2020, amidst the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Youth Fields of Hope (YFH) farm project was established. Despite lacking any prior farming experience, a single seed of faith was sown on the fertile green fields of Mandeville, Jamaica. This endeavor resulted in the cultivation, harvesting, and distribution of ground provisions, fruits, and vegetables across the entire island. The visionary concept behind this YFH farm emerged during a time of global crisis, characterized by escalating unemployment and looming indications of a worldwide food crisis.

YFH's farming project places significant emphasis on empowering young individuals, encouraging them to dream big, foster independence, and actively engage in agricultural entrepreneurship. The agricultural sector holds immense importance in society, as it serves as the foundation for a healthy food supply, an indispensable aspect of life.

Our ultimate goal is to ignite a passion among the youths (the future leaders) to eat what they grow and to grow what they eat. Additionally, this project aspires to be a beacon of hope for families and communities, extending support wherever and whenever it is needed.
